KIDDIE LIST 8-24-11

Lots of well bred babies worked today, including three siblings to Kentucky Derby winners and a few with Breeders’ Cup connections. Champions and blue hens are abundant throughout many pedigrees.

Record: 2-1-0-1 ($16,660) He’s the third foal (all colts) produced by his dam and both half brothers are winners. His dam placed in the Railbird Stakes (G3 7F). She’s a half to listed winner Flaming Heart and the second dam Hot Lear is a multiple stakes winner. The third, fourth and fifth dams all have blacktype.

Pryce's Posse (Posse - Field of Glory, by Meadowlake) Record: 3-1-1-1 ($30,485) He placed third in the Mountaineer Juvenile Stakes in his last start. His dam is a half to the good race mare Randaroo a multiple graded stakes winner and earner of over $600,000.

Danger Storm (Forest Danger - Mettle, by Silver Deputy) Record: 9-1-1-1 ($33,401) He’s a half to the stakes winning sprinter Arch Traveler (8-3-1-2 $145,750). His dam is a full to a Japanese Group 3 winner and a half to a Japanese stakes winner.

Alydarla (Henny Hughes - Mamboalot, by Kingmambo) Her half sister needed seven attempts to get her first win. Their dam won her debut in France and was stakes placed in her final start. The second dam Investalot won the Sabin (G3) and Rampart (G2) at 1 1/16 miles.

Stay Composed (Bernstein - Al Max Diner, by End Sweep) She’s the third foal and filly produced by her dam. Both half sisters started, one is a winner. That one needed seven starts to win her maiden. Their dam won her debut and placed in the Colleen Stakes in her next start. She’s a stakes winner/placed. (12-2-3-3 $131,226).

Krissy Kat (Tale of the Cat - Kristy Beethoven, by Kris S.) She’s a half sister to the multiple stakes winner Golden Sonata and stakes place Le Chateau.

Holiday Broad (Harlan's Holiday - Countess Godiva, by Grand Slam) She’s the first foal for her unraced dam. Her dam is a a half sister to Hillsborough Handicap (G3) heroine Miss Turkana, French G3 winner Grafin, who is the dam of Arlington-Washington Lassie S.(G3,8F) winner Zoaima. Countess Godiva is also a half to Group 3 winner Genovefa, dam of the Group 1 turf router Mamool. The second dam Reigning Countess is a multiple stakes winner and track record setter at Hollywood Park.

Well Kept (Henny Hughes - Alinechka, by Danzig) She’s the second foal and first to race. Her unraced dam is a ¾ sister to Phoenix Gold Cup winner, Peace Chant. The second dam is the Champion Sprinter, Safely Kept.

Barbados Beauty (Speightstown - Beautiful Moment, by Crusader Sword) is a half sister to Japanese turf G3 winner Henny Hound, and the stakes placed runners Saturday Hero and Beautiful Treasure. Beautiful Treasure is the dam of multiple stakes placed Flying Private. Their dam Beautiful Moment is stakes placed.

Hammers Terror (Artie Schiller - Sister Baby, by Lord Avie) (C) 4F 48:00 (3/32) breezing gate. He has four half siblings, three raced, with one winner. His unraced dam is a half to the multiple graded stakes warrior Kingdom Found. The second dam won a listed stakes.

Belmont:

Warrant (War Front - La Pascua, by Caerleon) (C) 4F :48.05 (2/52) handily gate. He’s a half brother to stakes winners Hot Hot Mama (23-5-3-5 166,083) and Pascal (24-6-4-2 $188,401). Their dam is a French stakes winner. The third dam Olmec is a blue hen. Her offspring have produced European Horse of the Year and top sire Dancing Brave, French Champion filly Joypha and the top race mare Sand Springs.

Summer Front (War Front - Rose of Summer, by El Prado) (C) 4F :48.08 (4/52) Handily gate. He’s a half brother to Hollywood Starlet (G1) heroine Laragh (8-4-0-1 $ 579,877) who also placed third in the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf. Their unraced dam is a half to Hollywood Futurity victor Siphonic (7-3-2-2 $774,778) who was third in the BC Juvenile.

Kir (Bernardini - Cassis, by Red Ransom) (C) 4F :48.25 (7/52) breezing. His full brother won his debut at Lingfield in England earlier this year. His dam is a Group 3 winner in England and placed in a couple of other group stakes. She’s a half sister to the dam of Champion Juvenile filly Storm Song. High Cotton was also produced from this distaff family.

Emerald Gold (War Front - Dina Gold, by Seeking the Gold) (F) 6F 1:12.80 (1/9) handily. Won in her second start (7/30) at Del Mar. She’s the third foal and filly for her dam. Her half sister Blading Gold Ring (8-3-1-2 $78,410) was stakes placed at two and three. Her other half sister Golden Dina (3-1-1-1 $29,650) is a stakes placed juvenile. Their dam was unplaced in 14 tries. She’s a half to two stakes placed runners. Travers/Whitney hero Will’s Way and Met Mile/Whitney victor Tizway are distant relatives.

Dreamcaster (Bernardini - Winendynme, by Dynaformer)(F) 6F 1:14.20 (6/9) handily. She won her debut at Del Mar (8/7) (video). She’s the fourth foal produced by her dam. Two half siblings have raced, one is a winner. Their dam Winendynme (16-5-1-3 $295,131) was a good turf mare and she won the Manhattan Beach S.(Hol,5.5fT); Tuzla S.(R-Hol,5.5fT), Tranquility Lake S.(R-Hol,8fT) and placed in a few others. She holds the only blacktype in two generations, although there are multiple Group 1 winners farther back in the pedigree.

Cosmopolitan is a half sister to BC Turf Sprint hero California Flag (21-9-0-2 $1,114,904), and his full sister, the top turf mare Cambiocorsa (18-9-0-3 $522,055). Another half brother Shadow Raider (62-10-10-8 $315,517) is stakes placed. Two other half siblings have raced and won. Their dam went 0 for 4 in her racing career, but was honored as CA Broodmare of the Year for 2008/2009. None of her siblings have blacktype.

HELEONOR RUGBY (Tribal Rule - Eleanor Rose, by In Excess) (F) 4F :48.40 (15/55) handily. She was third in the Sorrento Stakes (G3) (8/5). She’s the second foal and first filly produced by her dam. Her half brother has won once in eight tries. Her dam won a stakes over the mud and placed in two other stakes over fast dirt and turf, all at a mile and beyond. Her second and third dams also have stakes wins.

Out of Bounds (Discreet Cat - Unbridled Elaine, by Unbridled's Song) (C) 4F :48.80 (18/55) handily. He’s the 6th foal. His 3/4 brother Etched (10-7-0-0 $587,586) is a multiple graded stakes winner, and includes the Nashua Stakes on his resume. Transatlantic (A.P. Indy - Safari Queen (ARG), by Lode) (C) 4F :49.40 (23/55) handily. He’s the first foal for his dam who was the Argentinian Champion Two Year Old. Safari Queen (19-9-4-0 $632,239) raced in the US as a three and four year old, winning the Long Island H.(G2,12FT), La Prevoyante H.(G3,12FT), Orchid H.(G3,12FT), and Bewitch S.(G3,12FT). The second and third dam are Argentinian G1 winners.

Monmouth:

BLACK RHINO (El Corredor - Foreign Aid, by Danzig)(G) 4F :47.60 (2/37) handily. In his last start, Black Rhino was fourth in the Sanford Stakes. His underachieving dam placed in some listed stakes but was out of the money in all graded attempts. Black Rhino’s distaff family is racing royalty. In her second start, Say A Novena set a new track record for 4 ½ furlongs at Monmouth Park (video). She was second in the Matron (G2) at Saratoga and recently won the Colleen Stakes at Monmouth (video). Excessive Pride (In Excess (IRE) - Pleasing, by Falstaff) (C) 5F 1:02.00 (17/20) handily. He’s a full brother to Indiana Derby (G3) winner Excessivepleasure (20-5-5-2 $1,080,915). Excessive Pride is the 8th foal. All of his siblings have raced and four are winners.

Lisa T. (Awesome Again - Supercharger, by A.P. Indy) (F) 5F :59.45 (2/22) breezing. She’s a half sister to Kentucky Derby Champ Super Saver and stakes winner Brethren. Their dam is a full to G1 winner Girolamo and to the dam of Bluegrass Cat.

Power World (Distorted Humor - Purrfectly, by Storm Cat) (C 4F :50.93 (26/31) breezing.. After winning his debut, he was second in the Bashford Manor (G3) and Sanford Stakes (G2). Power World is a half brother to Santa Caterina (10-3-3-2 $645,260), the heroine of Hollywood Breeders’ Cup Oaks (G-1). The talented filly placed in the Frizette (G-1) Debutante (G-1) and Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Fillies (G-1) as a juvenile. Power World’s dam Purrectly is a half sister to the Juvenile English Champion filly Culture Vulture.
